I was performing the suggested maintenance on my daughters LT80, but the manual is vague at best on the type of transmission oil that is needed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

30wt motor oil is fine. However, I always use Maxim MTL gear saver oil of a higher weight.

Change it often -- that LT80 does not hold very much.

a 5-30 or 10-40 is fine for the tranny, as for quantity of oil, i lay it on its side and remove the tranny cover and fill it 80% full
