Doug Gust's DR400
#1
We had a awsome weekend of racing this weekend. Since Doug Gust is From WI like me, He came to my local track with his brother and a few other guys to race. I couldnt beleive it when he showed up. I got to talk to him and got my picture took with him. i got the jersey he raced in autographed from him. It was a great day. He flies! His quad was awsome. He has it plus his other 3 quads up for sale. If i had $17,500 I would have bought his zuk from him but thats a little more cash than i got. He said he had about a $25,000 stuck into it. If anyone else gets the chance to meet him go talk to him. He's a great guy. You can tell he really loves the sport. Well just figured i'd let yah guys know. Later

It seems that most of the pros sell their bikes each year after nationals and then build all new ones for the next season. I know that you always see Gust's bike for sale in the back of dirtwheels after each national season.
One of my friends actually bought one of them while Gust was with Nacs then had the motor done into a 300 by LRD, and that bike is SWEEEET.

Yes the reason for selling it is the season is over. I tried to get out of him what he was going to be doing for next year but he said it was against the rules to let that out yet. But my guess is he is going to make another dr400 based quad because he said he realy liked it. He had a 250r there that he raced in the 2 stroke A that he also rides in the 2 stroke pro-am and he couldnt do the big double he was doing on the zuk cause he said the 250r just didnt have enough go to do it. So with that in mind i think that is what he will be running is another dr400 based quad.
