I personally do not believe you can have too much power. It's not like people who haven't ridden a fast quad before have to nail it right away and do 80mph. If anything, people don't have enough common sense to ride a fast quad.

What's with the "Ya *******" in your signature?

I completely agree with Guido. And just to clarify something, age has NOTHING to do with it!!!

it's definitely 'rip your-arms-off power'
since you've been riding for 8 years i think you know when to let off the throttle. the machine is just bigger & heavier too.
i would never put a complete newbie on a lt500(no matter what the age), that's stupidity.

Hi im 15 also and I think you will be ok with all the power if you use it responsibly and it seems like you have experience but if you need it any of that monster power it is right on tap.

When I was 15 my Dad had a zilla. It was ported polished,FMF pipe and silencer ram valve, bored .080 with a wiseco piston.

Let me just say it was a beast! My 250r is fast but the zilla was insane. It beat a guy on a trinity built shee that had stage 2 porting.

The only thing to ever beat it was a 370 long rod shee. That was a pretty quick bike though.Plus the guy had paddles.

But anyway I think if U have any common sense at all U can ride it.I could ride wheelie's on my dad's till 4th gear going pretty fast.(U could still bring the tires up about a foot in 6th on pavement)They are incredibley fast. The thing is getting all that power to the ground. In dirt my dad's would just spin and go crazy.IT was a blast on my road though!

Boy I wish I could pull a wheelie in 6th on my 500.

Ugly go back to your dad and ask him how many gears the 500 has. He'll tell you 5.
