I don't think all that is really necessary if you have the motor properly rebuilt. Prior to this last rebuild I did, I had a pretty good bit of vibration felt through the handlebars. I even contemplated getting rid of the old Thrilla once I got it rebuilt. I had it bored .100 over and it is smoother now than it ever was. Not because of the overbore but because I made doubly sure that the counterbalancer went in there CORRECTLY. Somebody actually tried to get me to remove the thing and run without it; no way.

fasternu, did you get a shop manual yet? In mine it details how you have to align three or actually four punch marks (that are easy to lose track of) when reconstructing your motor. I wouldn't have caught this either if Suzuki hadn't done a super job of pointing it out in some exploded diagrams. That book is worth its weight in gold.

No sense in worrying about the vibration problem. I rolled her *** over tea kettle and bent the bars down flush with the gas tank. It totaled the steering post. Where can I get a new post? Factory wants $130.
