Quadsport 230 information
#1
Just purchased a 88 quadsport 230 and was reading some of the old posts here. I use to own one back when they were new and wanted another so i found one in good condition.
Back when they were new i never noticed problems with the chain breaking and wrecking cases and also didnt realize the shifter linkage problems but i saw all the posts on those problems. I found two products for those of you who also own 230 quadsports which might help fix these problems with the machine.
Here is the link: http://atvparts.hypermart.net/
I also have a few questions for those that own them now. Do you know of any good sights (please post links) that have parts for it.
Also looking for ideas if anyone has tried to take the quadsport lt230e (electric start model) and make it work on the quadsport lt230s (kick start model). Back when i was younger i didnt mind kickstarting but would like to have the electric start now.
Would also like to know if anyone has any good sights with pics or with articles about the quadsport as i havent been able to find many.
If anyone has any back issues of dirtwheels or of 3&4 wheel action which has articles on the 1988 Quadsport lt230s i sure would like to buy them from you or if you could email me the articles either way. Send me a email if you would like to sell them nack@tcbi.com
Thanks in advance.

88quadsport,
I have a 86 Quadsport 230S and I have a hard time kickstarting it due to very bad knees. So, I paid the $270 for the Goki Electric start kit. The link follows:

After the installation, I wrote a small, concise review of the whole process. That links follows:

As far as parts go, you already put up the best site link for quadsports, Vinces Cycle.
I usually find good parts and save a bit of money off of eBay, but thats buyer beware, as is life!
Good Luck!
I just noticed that your from Manitowoc. I am originally from Green Bay. I should be leaving the army in a month or 2. We should get together and ride. Currently, my QS is up in Mountain in my parents barn sitting for the last 6 months waiting for me. We're about 3 miles from the Dusty Trails system. I might just have another quad lined up too. I'm thinking about getting a 98 Polaris Scrambler 4x4. If I do decide to go ahead and get it, I'm thinking about Februrary at the latest it'll be on the moving truck. Hey, the army pays extra $$$ for extra weight. Not a bad deal for a 500 pound machine. lol.

Hey sounds good glad to hear from someone around the area. Ya give me a shout when you get back and we can go up and do some woods riding. My email is nack@tcbi.com
I saw the goki kit and wasnt to impressed. I was wondering if it would be possible to take the parts from the stock lt230e and interchange them to the lt230s?????? Or if someone knows is there alot of different cases and other parts which are different on the two machines which will not allow you to just easily add some of the lt230e electric start gizmos???????/
Thanks C'ya
