Quadzillas???
#1
I saw a quadzilla in action about 10yrs ago and man I have never forgotten it. That thing was the most awsome quad I have ever seen, it would pull hunks of dirt out of a hard packed road, start at the bottom of a big hill in 3rd gear from a stand still and just roost like crazy. The problem is that I haven't been able to find one forsale. Are they that hard to find? I don't care if it runs or not I just want one. I'll make it run if it doesn't.

I have one and may be looking to sell it in the spring. It's a great bike, but just not right for the PA trails. If you are as gung-ho about getting one as you sound, drop me a line.
I do see them in the local paper occasionally. Since I bought mine, I think I've seen 2 others.
Fast as all hell too. The freak who owned it before me had a twist throttle on it and I still have no idea how he could control that beast. My buddy (MichiganRedneck on these forums) took a damn short ride and right away gave it the name of Widowmaker. Needless to say, my wife wasn't too happy to hear that. I immediately tore it off and replaced it with a stock thumb. Much better now, but it'll still get away from you if you aren't careful...

I bought my zilla in b'ham from a 60 year old man. he had two at the time for sale. They were bone stock and in very good condition. He had bought them new for him and his son. They had been stored in the basement and hadnt been ridden in several years. The one i bought was a 89 model for $2500 and the other was a 90 model and he wanted $3000. When i say bone stock i mean they still had the original tires on them. they were dry rotted though. all i had to do to get mine running right was take the carb off and clean it because they left the gas on while it was being stored. If you want me to i will try to dig up the phone number for you and see if they still have the other one. They werent doing any advertising i just heard about it by chance in a supply house one day. so im willing to bet its still there.

When I got the 90 I paid 3000 which I thought was a good deal for a totally stock 500 and his son even brought the bike up to me because he was coming up for a football game and I just recently bought all new plastic and stickers and bandit tires and its lookin good and im planning on getting a new 400EX soon how do you like your 400EX oh and I live in Maryville TN.

i like the 400ex ive had it for almost 3 years now and never had any problems and it has been ridden very hard because it is my loaner quad for whichever buddy needs on to ride. but its nowhere near as thrilling as the other two i have. by the way my zilla is down now for restoration, when i finish the only original parts on it will be the frame and engine casing. i hope to have it finished in time to go to the snake hunt at little sahara in oklahoma the first of april.
