LT500 - Noisy Son of a Gun
#11
I have run the '87 head with no problems. I did however keep a close watch on the head and retorqued it(as well as everything else) everytime I thought about it. Granted, mine wasn't bored or ported, so, I don't know about serious hop-ups and add-ons. The '88 I run now is bored .100(that's 100 thousanths and not ten) over and is smooth as silk, no serious vibration.
AussieZilla, did you sell the Banshee? I don't know what kind of silencer that is but it sure is sweet looking. Hey, AussieZilla, I was just at your website looking at that bad-a$$ Zilla. I think that headpipe is stock, but I can't really tell. Do you know? Anyway you got me wanting to chrome plate everything on mine. I wonder why no one ever does the frame? The grabbar is pretty trick looking, too.

Hey, Aussie, someone give me a rusty Graydon Proline pipe, and there's a tag on the left-hand side of the pipe, probably near where the coolant over-flow tank is if the pipe was mounted up, so check to see if there's a tag or spot welds where the tag may have been.....That's about all I can tell ya without a look at the pipe.....Latah............OH!!..P.S. Could anyone recommend the LRD over the PT pipe for low/midrange? My PT hasn't been out of the plastic bag yet so I could send it back if I found out about a better pipe.....Thanks........
