According to dirtwheelsmag.com, the bike comes with a 12.2:1 compression ratio, just like the DRZ-400E. Here is the quote:
"Powering the Z400 is a high-performance 398cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder four-stroke engine. It features four valves and a high 12.2:1 compression ratio (the dirt bike engine has a 11.3:1 compression ratio). The bore and stroke is 90x62.6mm which is exactly the same as that on the dirt bike engine. Fuel is supplied by a 36mm Mikuni carburetor which is also the same as the DRZ. A dry sump lubrication system helps to create a more compact engine package."
I have a deposit on a Z400 at my local shop... they called and said they should take delivery of the first couple bikes in the next few weeks. I can't wait!
