What mods are recommended for the Eiger? I am using it primarily for recreation, with some towing (ice fishing, deer carcases etc) and hauling (bags of salt, wood etc) around the yard. I have only had the machine a week and a half but am having so much fun with it I have the itch to work on it!

Thanks,
Jim

I see did buy the Eiger good for you . I had mine now for 2 1/2 weeks now. I got over 350 miles on it now and know problems at all .I did the oil change like they said. It runs grate . For what you want the Eiger for.
I wouldnt do any mods to it. Maybe saddle bags or cargo bag or maybe a winche .I got the 4x4 manual had it in 2wd on dry road I hit 63 mph and the reson I know. I was doing 63 was my wife was behind me following bitching all way .When i got stoped. she was still bitching lmao. I still had motor left. I got out of it

I added the rear rack side bars and the deck plate to the rear rack. It gives me a corner to tie things into and keeps stuff from falling through between the rack bars. About $60 each from Suzuki.

suzuki finally makes a sporty 4x4, don't add saddlebags and rack extensions to it i would go to thumperracing and buy a highcompression piston, drz350 cam, and have the head ported, throw on supertrap ids2 and k@n and you'll def be moving through the woods quick. other than motor mods i would say aluminum rims and kenda bearclaws and maybe proggresive suspension shocks.

How about a reciever hitch/ball,a small portable air compressor attached under frame from wal-mart for $30.00 (you have the power outlet, why not be prepared?),a set of bags-too many choices to list-whatever you like, and a small emergency kit in plastic ziplock bag in storage compartment in rear with a tow rope, meds,or whatever.

enjoy your toy!

Thanks for the input everybody. I got the tow rope and will be adding the front storage fender bags and a first aid kit this week, starting out slow til I get some more time on it. Now if only the da*% snow would go away!

There has got to be a way to make this thing run a little better! Granted I'm spoiled from riding the 650 but my gut feeling is that there is some horsepower to be had from this motor without going into the internals. There is very little flat ground around here and the flattest portion I can find the Eiger will only do about 48mph. Power slides almost require that I sit on the tank and I'm a little guy, 155lbs. This is at 6500 feet. My wife can't ride for the next 8-9 months so its up to me to ride the Eiger occasionaly and I sure would like it to run a LITTLE better.
Anybody got any ideas?
