If it has 6 head studs, squared upper A-arms, and just one long tube on the upper A-arms (where they're mounted to the frame, the bottoms have two each)....(Sorry, can't think of another way to describe them in a quick, fashionable way)it's a 1987 LT500R "H" model Suzuki Quadracer.......The diff in motors is 88-90 used 7 stud cylinders to help with the blown head gasket problem you'll more than likely come across, and the 88-90 Zilla's also use a smaller reed cage, supposedly (from what I've heard) because the Californian EPA 'tards thought it spit too much unburned fuel (pollution) out into the nice brown haze already out there above L.A., but other than that, I think the steering stems have a different part #, but that's probably because of the A-arms or sumthin'.........So rip it all apart, pack grease into all the suspension and wheel bearings, make sure the headstuds are tight, and remove the mag cover (shifter side) and make sure that you can't wiggle it at all, or else you need to have your cases split, and inserts put in for the crank bearings, because the huge reciprocating mass of the 500 tends to where that stuff out quick-like, and you'll have a fun, fast, reliable machine......I completely re-did mine, from painting the frame to new air in the new tires, and don't have any problems or complaint's yet, but it took almost a year and more $ than I care to think about, but I'd much rather ride that then the new 'wheeler sittin' beside it in the garage.............Latah......
