As one whom had planned on buying a raptor but,is now waiting for the Z400, I can see some similarities between the two. High apexed front fenders and the spoiler like tail sections. When you have actually seen them in person the similarities are minor. The Z400 squats more like the 400Ex, the Raptor appears to sit taller, somewhat like the DS650. I love the looks of both these quads but, my money is down on the new Z400, as it uses the DRZ motor. I think that as in all forms of motorized sport the machine is important but, the rider/driver, makes all the difference in the world. It is getting harder to make a bad decision buying a newer generation sport quad, and given a couple of more years, the manufactures will hopefully put the motors with the displacement, power, handling and durability we are all waitting for.
