Quadmaster 500
#1
Hi, I own a 2001 suzuki 500 Quadmaster and I was wondering if there are other owners out there that have had any problems with anything relating to the bike. I have had one problem with my clutch, I couldn't get it to go any faster than 5 mph one weekend when I was about 20 miles in the bush, I would give the gas and all it did was rev and move at 5 mph. Took it to the dealer and they said that there was a mouse nest built inside the clutch cover and that the "dirt" was interfering with the clutch when it was at low rpm, clutch couldn't close. Would appreciate any info regarding this and any other matter pertaining to the Suzuki 500 Quadmaster....

I also own a 2001 QuadMaster, I have had alot more problems than you!
For starters.... the bearings went out of the transmission... both of them, just seized up... dealership told me it was from too much belt dust.
The top end of my clutches wore big grooves in them from driving too much at the same speed.
A month and a half after I bought it... the muffler cracked, resulting in burning the packing out of the muffler... which resulted in blowing the baffles out of the muffler also.
Other than that, I haven't had any problems with it.
Just have to watch when going through deep water.... had to drain my belt 3 different times today when out with a bunch of friends. Really makes you feel like an idiot having to stop all the time to drain the belt after going through water holes when everyone else drives standards... therefore, not having this problem.
Trying to find a snorkel kit for the belt right now.
