Are front shocks on a lt 500 rebuildable ?? Do they make a gold valve kit or similar for the front (I know they make one for the rear). I have pic's of one FAST LT 500(580 ski doo motor) but do not know how to post them any help ???
My LT500 "Ski Dooki" is getting closer the 720 motor is in and the clutches are mounted and tack welded in place.

I am not certain, but I don't think they are rebuildable. I'm guessing this is a drag only quad, so why not get some Marvin Shaw shocks for it?

This will NOT be a drag only quad !! My buddy with his 580 was at sand lake last weekend and rode all over at the dunes and also raced at the hill and flat drags. He pretty much won all races except for a couple of FULL tilt drag banshees (these were VERY incredible machines and were trailered to the sand flats for drag only....Huge $$$$$$$ alcohol motors, drag frames, huge swingarms, small front tires, wheelie bars etc.)
I have some excellnt pics of him racing if you want !!

Oh I see, well I would just get a set of Works shocks, they're pretty cheap. Actually, you should just call PEP and see if they are rebuilable. If you're looking for a place to host Photo's, go to www.photos.yahoo.com than set-up an account and go from there.

Pretty cheap is kinda relative... When your doing a project like this and don't have bottomless pockets !!! I am trying to get this thing going and then start with the fancy stuff !!!! I have heard the stock shocks on the LT500 weren't bad.

lol, cheap... look at what I'm riding! Anyway, call PEP, they should know if they're rebuildable. Do you know anyone up there with a TRX250R for sale?

This ain't no cheap sport, especially when the whole family is involved!! I just sold my raptor and wanted another 2 stroke...I debated about another R but $4-5000 for a quad I would have to go through again was not my idea of fun (I do enough wrenching...I like riding better)so I bought a new banshee. I knew I would never find another R as clean as my old one.
You can not beleive what a rush that snowmobile powered LT500 quad was....scarry fast !!!!

I bet it was. I just sold an LT500 chassis because an Lt motor would be too expensive for me to put in. My uncle and neighbors wanted me to put a Kawasaki ZX9 motor in it, but I'm not into the drag racing thing all that much. Yes this sport is too expensive, especially when you're only 15 and broke!!! Send me some pics of the guy drag racing, my email is in my sig.
