Those are the numbers most commonly seen from a Dynojet Chassis dyno for those particular ATVs... If I had to post numbers for each ATV (from the Dynojet readings I've seen), YoDaddy's 2nd set would be the same ones I'd quote.

Hi gang, another good point regarding the two bikes, Z & EX400's, the Honda is air cooled and the Suzuki water cooled. That will make a difference at race speeds and a all out day of stuffing your buddies. The H2O motor will not fade like the air cooled motor. My YZ250F put out 28 hp stock, and modified bikes are hitting 35-38 hp.
another plus is that the suzuki's are about 15lbs lighter than the Honda. The water cooling and lighter weight can add up to more power and easyer handling. Is the Honda a bad bike, NO!, just a bit out dated like the XR, wont make a difference at all for the trailrider, but might make a difference to the racer and a huge difference to the techno weenie's!

The Z400 hp is off the factory MSO -- so it's SAE (flywheel) hp.

 

that breeze is corked up too, take out the baffles and that thing can make 100hp!!!!

Not true.The engine is over 2 yrs old.It's out of the DRZs and has been put on many dyno's.

Not true. The Z400 engine has been tuned for more bottom end and less peak horse power than the bike's motor, but it still has a bit of top end. The torque is better all the way through.

many engine builders claim area under curve is very, very important so keep that in mind when looking at the sheet.

 

Are you new? Its an XR400 motor, we are talking trail bike at best, the DRZ motor is kicking some @ss at the pro levels with factory Suzuki, Honda dosnt race the XR400 nor do any local guys that have any sence. My KDX200 will out run a XR400. It is a good trail motor, reliable and very predictable, but thats it. Honda fans have been cring for years for something that is fast, light and handles good.

Suzuki's for as long as I can remember have always built great handling and suspended bikes, they have had a few great motors here and there, so this quad should follow suit, great handling and suspension, tossing in a good (not great) 4 stroke motor should make it a nice bike. Now if only KTM would make a quad!!
