KTM 520 4 stroke MX/Trail quad, a big KTM 640 4 stroke Duner, KTM 380 2 stroke pure MX... Damn, that'd be a sweet lineup...

 

i think ktm IS making a quad. these are just rumors that i'm hearing. it's supposed to wh00p the c-dale's butt.

 

A lot of people said KTM was making quads when that guy dropped the 520 into the 250R frame... lol

one thing I wanna know is: I heard that the 520 had a 4 speed tranny (from someone who raced one) a while ago and Dirtwheels said it had a 6... WTF? Did they change it?

 

The Ktm sx,mxc is a 4 speed close ratio tranny. The Ktm 520 "exc" is their enduro model and it has a 6 speed wide ratio.

 

Binfordw - since you was obviously mocking me, I'll tell you that the first set of #'s was from C-dales brochure, the 2nd set of #'s I had down was the ones I have most commonly HEARD. I didn't make up these #'s and I wasn't trying to say the c-dale was the best. Everyone knows that the DS is the ONLY one that puts out more power than the C-dale and the Raptor owners that think their stock quad has more power than the stock Dale, are the same ones that think that nothing can be built to out run the Raptor. Next time you go makin fun of someone, remember that sometimes their info is actually legit.

For someone that isn't makin fun of anyone in particular, you sure did seem to be mocking me. I"m not buying a Z400 and I really hope they do good. Not that I wish Honda would do bad, but they have had their day and they need something new. If you feel that threatened about someone having a little fun w/ someone and ******* their quad as a joke, you should go out and practice riding some more, cause thats all that counts. Hell, I'll tell my buddy that his R is slow and that it can't corner for crap or make fun of my friend that just got a 440ex kit saying he had to spend all that money to keep up w/ the Dale, when I know and they know damn well that we all have bad *** quads. So if you're that threatened about someone bad mouthing the Z, get over it.
