wow 46hp out of Z400 with only cams, exhaust and carb.

The kit they said should be around $1400. The 52HP they claimed is with a ported head. The dyno on there site is just the kit with no porting. I thought about it and due to ama rules i may just order the cams and exhaust and then make it a 440. According to there dyno chart the Rev box they sell isnt worth it. The thing only pulls to about 8500rpm so why would you need a 11,000rpm rev limiter? I think ill pass on that. I figure if i cant get the HP out of it that i want i will let the wife keep it.

tecate, when you buy the yoshi rev kit you don't just get a new cdi box, you get new cams and valve springs, every piece of the kit needs to be used together, when this is done the motor will pull up to 11,000 rpm. your right with the stock cams though, there is no point in just running the yoshi cdi box.

If Suzuki ever bumps up the Z400 up to a 440 or 450 I may have to retire the Raptor.
I've been meaning to ask you Z owners how the new Quadsport compares to the LT250Rs. I used to have an LT-R and the one thing that I remember it had over my Honda R was the stability and power advantage (stock vs stock). I just wondered if Suzuki kept the low-slung feeling with the Z400?
