I paid $5299.00 for my Z so out the door it was around $5800.00 (I pay tax so that I can get it registered here in Ohio). I have never seen a Raptor for under $6000.00 I have seen some advertized for $5700.00 but when you call about it and talk to them they add all kinds of hidden fees on it to bump it right back up to the $6500.00 mark. Price was a pretty big hitter for me, I like the Raptor but for the money the Z is a buy that is hard to beat.

Stock LTZ400 to a stock Raptor. It all depends on who gets the take off. I have beaten a raptor but I have also lost to one as well. They are very close.

How much does a pipped and jetted EX lose to a Raptor? 3-4 bikes? I beat one with my Stock Z by that much.

I'd love to hear of a race and get this over with. I gues it's just going to ping pong back and forth based on who races.

 

Barelylegal- I tried to point that out before, but it seems like no-one believes me.. I think its cause this place is FULL of little kids or something. I wish I knew a friend that rode a raptor(I do know one but his crap is ragged, go figure, its a '01), cause I'd like to know for myself. the closest thing I've had a shot at was a new banshee- and I haven't lost to it yet. The Z really rips, I'd bet money it'll hang RIGHT next to a Raptor in the 300ft.

 

So you've been saying the Z is faster than a Raptor but you've never actually raced one? Not even your friends ragged out 01?

When some one actually brings a Z to the drags at Atoka I'll run them & then I'll say what happened. I won't shoot off my mouth when I don't know.

I hope the Z is a very fast quad that can hang with a Raptor, Mabey then Honda will bring out something bigger then someone else will bring out a better sport quad & so on & so on! We all benifit when some manufacture raises the bar.

What I can say is I've beat stock Shees, Piped Shees, Ds650's, FX 400's, Bajas & even other Raptors!
I've also been beaten by all of the above.

I know my Raptor isn't the only quad out there & if some one has a better quad when I'm ready for a new one I'll get that quad.
I hope I'll get to choose frome a C'Dale 650, TRX-450F, YFM-426, Z-650 TRX-650 or something like that.

It's hard to win or lose against a Raptor until you've actually raced one.

Mabey I was a little harsh.
I don't care about speculation I want to see what it will do.

 

Its cool. I want to see myself, but I just don't have the opportunity-yet anyway.. I do believe the Raptor will ultimately be faster- buy I just think it'll take more than 300ft to show it. That, and the other downside- Raptors- just like banshees, will gain more from mods (should, anyway, I sure know banshees do!)
