My boy has a 2002 zuki 50 and I was wondering if there are pipes made for these, or any little tricks that can be done to give it a little more zip.

It runs great, but when he tries any little hills, and I mean little, it needs a little more power to get him over it.

Thanks
Bat

Have you taken out both restrictors? Intake and Exhaust?

Graydon Proline are starting to make a pipe for the lt50 and CT racing.

I took out the exhaust restrictor thing, but did not know there was an intake restriction also. I will check into that.

I saw a little 50 3wheeler and it sounded pretty cool, had some kind of pipe on it and it was pretty zippy also.

I will check into those companies also.

thanks

Take off the intake manifold and you will see the pressed in restrictor with a key slot hole. Some people have gound this out. I will tell you the easy way to get this restrictor out. Put the intake manifold in a vise and heat it up with a propane or mapp gas torch. The aluminum intake will expand allowing the restrictor to drop right out. Pick up the intake with a pair of pliers when its good and hot and give it a tap on the vise or workbench. The restrictor should fall out. Other than that, there is no other easy way to get more power out these things other than putting on a pipe. A buddy of mine has a lt50 for his son also. We spent all day trying to get more power out of them and it always came down the the restriction of the pipe. It needs an expansion chamber. He would try something and then we would drag race down the street. Everything he did after removing the two restictors just made it slower. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips, I knew about the exhaust; but did not know about the Intake.

So the intake is the aluminum piece with a 90* angle to it???

ALSO do ya have to rejet after this???

Thanx,

Yes the Intake is the 90 degree aluminum piece. No you don't have to rejet. The thing is so restricted that if you left both restrictors in and unleashe the throttle limiter screw all the way, you would foul plugs. Good luck.
