I went and priced one yesterday at my zuki dealer. Keep in mind that the Canadian dollar is less than the US dollar but they still wanted $336 + tax for the thing outch

StormNorm,
I've had one fail. Just be hopeful that it didn't chew up the stator too! Thats another 'weak' spot on the early models... Not sure why they shear the rivets off, but I've seen it done more than once.
The newer one that they are selling for big $$$ is the permanent fix..You could end up with a similar situation down the road if you buy another old style unit.
Hope this helps, sorry it's not better news.

I bought a new on from a discont ad in the back of Dirtwheels(dont remember the name) It was only $120.00 US funds. Just wait you will find more on ebay. These flywheels have been updated. It would probly be best to buy a new one.
