My fiance realy wants a vinson. We can get her one thats a left over from last year for a good deal. Any one who has one let me know how you like it and how it handles and so forth. Plus what kind of top speed yah getting out of em. I wanna make sure she can keep up in the straights with my P650. Plus have you guys had any reliability issues with them. Thanks!!

They are having shifter problems. It does loosen up after a few miles tho.
The machine handles grate. Top speed 55 to 60. Laugh if you want but with the right rider that 500 will whip that 650 a$$. Just get it broke in and the shifter will be ok

if you think a 500cc single cylinder can whip up on a 633cc v twin then you are crazy. the prairie 650 can go 65 the vinson can barely break 60.

mtecate4g:

Look up the post on vinson oil filter by macgiver. I replied to him and also to papajim who wanted a comparison between the Vinson and the P650. That should answer some of your questions.

I have a Vinson that will hit 62 mph. It's been a great machine for me so far. But unfortunately, I have to sell. If you want more info on it and how it's been, drop me an e-mail at Lone_eagle7mm@hotmail.com

I've had my Vinson for 7+ months now and it is great. No problems so far. The shifter was stiff at first but it is now silky smooth. It starts and idles better than any thumper I've had. Very smooth. Good power and suspension. Can't go wrong with the Vinson, but some feel the need for the biggest they can find. The Vinson will hang with any of the other big bores in most conditions.

Huntfish, I am not saying a 650 could whip the 500 or anything but the 650's are not known for their top speed, They are mostly know for their stump pulling torque which is a lot more than any of the 500cc 4x4's.
