11,000.00 isn't bad for a race ready machine. That's probably the same or a little less than most of the 400EX machines running in the GNCC Pro Production class. Especially if you are going to MX. Stock parts won't last long when your MXing. I've seen loads of 400EX swing arms that were trashed and had to be replaced on MX machines. With competition A-arms running 600.00 and up and it's no wonder their getting that much money in those things. The prices will come down once the market gets flooded with Z parts like it is with ex stuff.

True! Although even with that kind of money in it they still weren't able to replace the axle or swingarm. They didn't seem to care much for the stock swingarm due to the chain adjustment procedure and they couldn't get an axle in time. I bet that thing just rocks, though!

I still don't see why they all think the stock chain adjustment is hard. It's extremely easy. Takes me about 5 to 10 minutes and there are notches so you won't get one side different than the other. And mine has never moved from where I initially put it. The stock swingarm looks to be a tough piece. I guess we will see how they hold up once people start MXing with them.

Ask anyone who has owned a 87-92 quadracer that has raced. Under hard hits that the swingarm takes in racing it will start sliding in do time. I know this, because I have a 91 lt250r that I replace the stock swingarm with a cam style Leager. Some of the problems can start after remove the housing for whatever reason (changing axle, replace axle bearings). The problem is when re-assembling the rear-end there is a possiblity of getting dirt in between the housing and swingarm. The dirt asks like ball bearings and is almost impossible to keep it tight enough not to move. So if you remove the housing make sure you wipe every little spec of dirt out of the swingarm and off the housing before re-installing.

Just get a Cannondale and call it good.

The chain adjuster sucks! It is the same lousy one on my old quadzilla, I was like damn you gotta be kidding the one thing they kept the same was probably the main thing they shoulda changed! Wait till the bolts in the back start stripping out after a couple years of adjusting then tell me how good it is.

After a couple of years you just buy an aftermarket swingarm.
