I have a 86 quadracer and the problem I'm having is it bogs down in low to mid range, it seems like its flooding out. I adjusted the float so the gas would turn off quicker but it still bogs down untill I stop and drain out the carb, then it runs fine. I switched carbs but kept my same jetting. It sounds like its back firing and it starts the skip until I get going into high range. Any help would be appreciated

I've got an 88 LT 250 with a similar problem. At low RPM the motor races and runs away like its lean but its fine at mid range then starts cutting out on the top end. Weird.
