electric powered supercharger for cars

Now, what laws of physics state that this kind of thing can't be done? We're only talking about 400 cc's here.

ya know..posts like this remind me of a story my dad told me once about this idiot. he thought he would rig up some sort of poor mans nitrous on his car. what he did was somehow hook his windsheild washer squirter things into his carb or air intake maybe i don't know, but anyways it was rigged up so it squirted into the cylinder, and he would put ether or somethin in his washer fluid container, that way in theory when you pressed the windsheild wiper fluid button you would get a power increase..well i'm sure you all guessed it didn't work worth a crap.

No one said it can't be done. I just said a blow dryer isn't going to do it.

"you would know such stupid ideas could never work. "

Isn't "could never work" the same as "can't be done?"

You tell someone their idea is like a beavis and butthead scheme, then expect them to respond happily to your obviously insulting remark?

How about some value added ideas instead of 'you're so stupid' ??

Any time you get more cool air in and out you will increase hp. By presurizing the air box you are before the throttle slid so you can control air in. The problem you will have is 1 jetting at lower RPM's you will need to be richer b/c a fixed blower will produce more boost. 2 you will push air out of the air box causing the normal intake track to become ineficent and may cause a net loss. If you rigged up a variable speed RPM semsitive unit you might be able to make it work but with out a ton of r&d money I doubt you would ever get it right. Trust me many MFG's have tried what others think of odd ball Ideas and if adding a fan to the airbox was an effective or cheep source of power someone would have it out now.
