well when i slid the side cover off i believe my shaft moved out and caused the spring to come off. At this time i did not realize this and put the side cover back and was trying to go through the gears with my new clutch and i think i may have bent one of the spring ends at this time. Not sure but i am pretty sure that have installed the spring right but due to the bent spring it is not working right. the nylon bushing is the stock one as far as i know and it still seems to be in good condition.

 

There is an '89 LT 500 for sale where I live. It has a +4 swingarm, pipe, overbore engine with piston, and is otherwise stock, in about 90% condition with some small plastic scratches and seat rips along the metal edges. Can you help me find out what this is worth? I don't want to pay too much for an old quad that has been ridden fast and might be hard to get parts for. well just kind of depends on what exaclty is done to the motor. Also what about how many hrs., what tires do you have pics of it. Also what type of swingarm does it have..

 

Owner claims 20 hr on rebuilt top end, it feels really tight and strong. Just a 1st overbore, new rings and piston. Impossible to tell hours on the machine, original paint with wear at boot contact points. No frame problems, generally sound, chrome 6pak rack, stock bars, no airbox, just a big Uni filter with outerwear. Any round guess would be helpful, thanks for answering so fast.

Thanks, I did that while we were corresponding. Looks like they go for $2K to $3500+. That will help when I negotiate for this one.
