Default -Z400 Jet Problem-

Sup,

i just jetted my friends new z, hes got a yosh slip on,K&N with outerwear with airbox lid removed. he bought a dyno jet stage 2 kit for it. I followed the directions perfectly. We live in Front Royal Virginia at about 800 feet above sea level. It said to go with a 150 main jet for applications 0-5000 geet above sea level and i did. it siad use their needle and needle clip, and for applications 0-5000 feet above sea level to put it in the third slot from the top and use all the spacers off the other needle. i tryed adjusting it with the air fuel screw mixture for about 2 days but with no progress. it feels like it has lost all low and and acceleration. it has up to a 155 main jet included in the kit, does anybody have any ideas on what to do because im completely lost here.

Thanks

Ryan

that's waaaaaaaaaaaaay too lean. try 157.5? to 165. i think that recommended jetting is for the their pipe with the factory intake.

I'm using a 155 with your intake set-up and stock exhaust. On the other hand, that sounds like a pretty rich needle (midrange) setting.

I've put in a few DynoJet kits myself. Their instructions are to get your machine in the ball park. I ride at > 6000 ft.

I've always had to tweak the jet size, needle position, etc. On their Vinson jet kit, their needle is so thin and tapered, I went from a 128 stock main, stock needle, to a 112 main with their needle. They recommended a 114 for > 6000 ft.

I would recommend you call or e-mail them and get help. DynoJet has always been very helpful when I've had questions.

Mark

I'm right about at the same elavation and when I was using the stock carb it was jetted at 152.5. That was with the full Yoshi and lid off. It ran perfect.
