In my option no! My sons lt80 has the stock carb, does have motor work porting. It has beat other lt80 with the bigger carb/k/n filter. Not worth the money. Put the money in porting and clutch mods.

I do have the stock carb with a mod to it. In the float bowl area there is a extra vent hole that was drilled through. We still run the the stock pipe. lt80 can explain more about the mods.

zukidude, I see you are from Tenn. so are we. Were are you racing this winter? We would like to find some good indoors, MX or TT will do. As for pipes, has anyone tried that new FMF pipe made just for Lt's?

zukidude: My motors have been clocked at 53 mph on a stock carb and pipe. This is why I feel the big carb is a waste of $$$.For the price of a carb and pipe, you can get what you need in the first place,a proper port job and clutch kit! Congrats on your child doing so well

zukidude, thanks for the track info. As for lt80 "he's the man" even though he did not build our motor, when we tore up after driving 800 miles to a race he jumped in to help us fix it. He's our hero!!!
