suzuki 230 problems help!
#1
i just got an 87 suzuki quad sport and i got it not running and had to do some things to get it to go. but my main problem is that when i start it it stalls unless i keep reving the engine why is that? and also is there a special way to put it in neutral because i cant get it to go in. my last quad it was between 1st and 2nd but with this one i cant get it to go in and also reverse how do i put it in reverse?

O.K to start off with on the left side of the carburator there should be a screw sticking out.If you can get it to idle turn it so it revs more. This should help.OK to find neutral ( I assume yours has a clutch mine does) its also between 1st and 2nd.The easiest way to find it is to put it in second and just barely push down. With the crazy linkage its hard.OK to put it in reverse put the quad in neutral, pull in the clutch and push forward the lever behind the shifter.Hope this helps!

Yep he told you exactly what to do. Unless yours is like mine and that nice little screw is siezed you should have no problem fixing that problem. I have heard that a shifter from a RM250 will fit and it is short enough so that you do not need any linkage. I do not know if this is true but it would help out for shifting and finding neutral.
