OK guys my 230 Quadsport really has a problem. To start off with last night I flipped it up on its back bumper to put a new tie rod on it.It leaked about a gallon of gas.Well this afternoon I tried to start it and I bet I kicked it a 100 times and it still wouldn't crank.Well then I pulled it off behind another quad.It finally hit,but then I held it wide open and it coughed and sputtered, but when I let of the clutch to go it didn't have enough power to pull me.I tried a few more times, but still no luck. Then I pulled the plug.It tiny bits of really small metal or dried carbon sticking to some really wet black muggy oil.I cleaned it and put in back in.Then I unplugged a few lines from the carb and gas flowed so I new I it was getting gas to the carb.It might not be leaving it though. It still won't hit a lick.I played around with the air and idle screw and checked the filter.Still no luck.I'm stumped.Help would be appreciated.

i dont know much but you should take a look at your clutch because if it is old it could be grinded down and not catchin the teeth causing it to shred this could be the little peaces of metal you are finding.

You might want to check the float to see if it is moving. Maybe from tilting it up that far it got stuck shut, not allowing fuel to enter the bowl. Also, change the plug, or burn the crud off the tip and try again. If it ran before, it's not the clutch giving you the problem now, though it could be the culprit of the metal particles. If your plug is running super black and oily all the time, you may have to put a new piston and rings in it.

No guys you were all wrong.I finally checked the oil in the quad and it was very low.I found it in the bottom of my airbox and throughout the carb. When I flipped it back the oil from the engine went through the carb along with the gas.So I just cleaned everything out including the carb and filter. Then it started right up!
