Default tough decision- vinson- auto or manual

Yea, I've never seen any Polaris (who invented belt drive) or any Yamaha w/ a belt prob what so ever. I've owned them, do own them and ride w/ them extensively. Every single person I know who bought a Prairie has gotten rid of it. They love it right till it smokes a belt and they have to shim it, add spacers, adjust it or whatever it is they have to constantly do . A good friend of mine just bought two of them. I hear he now has a lawyer working on getting his $$ back. I know it's fast and all and performs great, but I'm into reliability. Not knocking Kaw though, some of them are bulletproof. You don't have to even think about the belt on Polaris or Yamaha and prolly Suzuki.

I'd have drive the Vinson Auto and think that the atv is awesome. It has great power and goes like he!!. My stepfather has over 1000 miles on it and has had no problems at all. I would not be afraid of the Vinsons belt system at all.

it really doesnt mean anything, it may mean there are more kawi's out there. from my expierience i've seen the praire 650 in water up to the handlebars and no belt slip, at the same water hole a brand new grizzly 660 sunk, stalled, after the belt slipped. it was fixed then the next time in water belt slipped, after it dried the clutch plates blew apart, dealer said it was taken too deep( hot clutch in water) never heard that before though, it was fixed and the belt still slips. the kawi went through all the same water and mud and had no problems at all. also have seen polaris sportsman 500 go through the same water and mud, never had clutch probs but the belt always got wet and would slip. again never had that happen on the kawi!!
