Z400 carb tuning questions w/Trinity pipe

I know there is a lot of knowledge here about Trinity pipes. Maybe you could help. I bought a stage 4 pipe, and it came with a 165 main jet, a new pilot jet (size unknown) and a new needle. The instuctions mentoin the main jet, to be used with air box and filter mods (I got a KN filter and i removed the lid). However, the new needle and the pilot jet were not mentioned. Are they required? The needle has a different shape and tuning slots. Anybody know how this needle would change the tuning?

Well, I got the same set up but I didnt get the new needle and pilot jet. Hmmm.... Harry, you didnt tell me about that... But all I did was change out the main jet and put the washers at the position it told me to do and that was it. Runs pretty strong. My pipe does turn dark brown at the head but thats what I found to be normal or.... Let me know what you find out about the extras you got.
