I bought a drum of alcohol back in 1999,I only opened it to add a top end luber and performance enhancer with grape fragrance then I took 10 gal. out.It has been sealed in the drum since and not reopened.It's 99.9% pure VP alcohol.I'm just wondering if after 3yrs. of sittingif it would still be good.Thank's.......Zilla

I run alcohol in my dragster. It mainly depends on the climate you have had it in. If its been stored at a constant temp. then it should be fine, but say if its been were the temp goes up and down it will draw mositure. What you can do if you want its kinda stuipd, if your going to just use a small amount at a time take an boil it to about 220 degrees. In my car i let it heat up to that, then pull the valve covers to let the mositure out. Then before the race i always preheat the oil. Main thing is just to look in the drum for any rust.
