Quad starting Problems!
#1
My quad is nearly impossible to start by kicking it. The only way to get it to start without kicking it for a hour is dragging it and even then it dont idle or run smoothly. My first thoughts was the carb which is stock but every thing seem ok in that dept. it gettin plenty of gas(i dont know if enough) and plenty of spark. I dont get why it dont start. I talked to alot of people and they lean me towards a compression problem and some tell me a timing problem. Any advice or suggestions
Its a 1989 lt250s quadsport stock all the way around.

Sounds like nothing a good carb cleaning wouldn't cure. Most likely a plugged pilot jet. This is the smallest jet in the carb so its first to clog when the quad sits for extra long periods of time. Most dealers can do this but if you know someone that is a good mechanic you can save some money by having them do it.
