Jaws I couldn't follow you there. Are you saying you have a fuel cutoff. I got my Z in Dec and I only have an On and Prime setting. I tried it again today and there was no problem starting. It must have been that it sat for a three weeks while I let my sleds stretch there legs.

What I was saying that the Z is a new bike and they dont have a off on the fuel valve just on and Prime. Prime is for COLD weather. Its controlled by vacuum so you dont have to have an off on the valve. You can actually remove the fuel line off and it wont pour the gas out, just tricle out whats in the line itself.

Its because of the fuel valve. It lets the carb gas evaporate out of the bowl if your quad sits for a couple weeks unused, then when you are trying to start it up, the motor isn't turning over fast enough to make vacuum. Kind of a stupid feature if you ask me.
Put in prime for a couple minutes, let it fill up the carb bowl, put it back into the on position, then she should fire up for ya.
In the cold a 4 stroke will require some patients though, just the nature of the beast.
