OK, I'll explain it a little better, that way you can save all of your arguing for another time.
ALL things being EQUAL means just that.
Both engines are either 2 Strokes "or"
Both are 4 Strokes.
Both have the same Compression
Both have the same Cam profile
Both have the appropriate carburetion
Both have the same gearing
Both run the same fuel
Both weigh the same
Both have the same size rider
Both are ridden under the same conditions
Given all of these conditions, a 600cc motored quad will always beat the 300cc motored quad. It's just that simple, no tricks, no hidden meanings, just straight up laws of physics kind of stuff. Does this help you to understand what I mean?
I had just about forgotten why I even made this statement in the first place. It had to do with someones comment that having more cc doesn't make that much difference.
Man has this Thread been all over the map or what?

My friends ride 400ex's. One has a WB pipe and a jet kit and 22s. I can rock all over him on trails and down the road with my bike (still stock 20" tires). Another friend has an EX with motor work(port, polish, cams) with stock exhaust and I can't touch him. The Z is a great bike out of the box, hands down. Although it will never be a 250R. You can't really compare a ring-dinger race quad (an R) to a 4 stroke machine. 4 strokes are coming into the race scene bigtime, but need bigger displacement to keep up with the 250Rs. I love my bike and won't part with it. They are great quads for the money, but liquid cooling and reverse are a definite advantage. Just my opinion/experience.

Ok, 250R's are slow bone stock. 400ex's are slow bone stock. The z is just like the other two, waiting to be unleased. I've rode a bone stock 250R...not many of them around to ride. With the stock pipe and silencer, no mods....they are only a fraction of what they can be....but not fast. I would like to see a bone stock z400 vs a bone stock 250R. I bet you would see there not that far apart.
