To me it looks kind of shabby,,,,,,,completely spraypainted blue (everything).
The guy who owns it swears it will fire right up and scream.

I have no idea,,,,,,I will be looking at it today,,,,,I should have some pics tonight.

He tells me its a 80something, yellow and blue, 250, two stroke, with 6 gears.

I assume its a quadracer. He says it runs,,,,,,,,(honestly,,,i would be very surprised if it did).

Well, if it is a 6 speed 80 something model that means it has to an 87 - 89.....the '85 & '86 were 5 speeds......sounds like your luck is getting better all the time.......you may want to consider purchasing a lotto ticket this week!

alright,,,,I couldnt take it any longer. I have the pics.

1/87 is what the year says.

this bike actually looks to be OK. I would say no more than 200 hrs on it. Looks to just have the 'stock' run out of it. Besides that it has been sitting for some time.

the engine kicks and feels very tight

I cant believe the whole thing is spraypainted blue,,,,it really looks like hell. Maybe I can give it a sand bath.

Ya the 6 speed is better, it also means it has a powervalve motor. Cant see the pics yet though.

Bing, I think you're getting a good deal no matter what shape it is in......post the pics dude! I wanna see it......I still cannot believe someone is just going to give it to you....you are lucky! Even if the fenders and stuff are painted it's no big deal.....just get new one's if necessary. Hell if you're getting it for free, what's a few hundred bucks??
Yes, the 87-92 are better than the 85 & 86 models. They made changes to the motor and chassis.
