Default Ozark problem.

I have a new Ozark I purchased yesterday that dies whenever you give it any throttle. It will sit and idle but any throttle causes it to stall out. I have checked the plug for fouling and have ensured the carb is getting plenty of fuel. The only other thing I can think of is that there is some trash stuck in the carb. Looks like you have to take the whole front end and tank off this thing off to access the top of the carb. Dealer is 2 hours away and I won't be able to get it in there till wendsday. Any suggestions to something easy I haven't thought about? Thanx.

Thanx for the choke suggestion. Already checked that. I think I figured the problem out. I took the bottom of the carbuerator apart(I know I should have let the dealer mess with it but he's 2 hours away and I couldn't wait LOL) and cleaned it out and checked the needle and float assembly. Anyway put it all back together and its ran like a charm all day. I guess it was just gunked up. Anyway I'm gonna ride it alot sunday and see if it does it again. If not I guess its fixed. This is a fun quad. I was out riding it tonight and the headlights are bright. Fun to ride at night.

Yeah, Its pretty easy. In the tech tips section of this site there is a description of how to take the float section of the carb apart. The carb shown is very similar to the Ozarks. You can access the fuel bowl of the carb with the tools that were provided with the quad. I just cleaned it out real good and it seemed to fix my problem. Rode it all day today with no problems.
