how do you remove the rear sprocket flange

im trying to take off my back axle and my owners manual tells me to remove the rear sprocket falnge but i can not figure out how to get it off thanks

how do you remove the rear sprocket flange

on mt 230 quadsport after u break the axle nuts loose and take the sprocket off the flange, just give it a light tap with a hammer (rubber of course)and it will slip right out of there.The only thing holding the flange against the bearing seals is the axle nuts.GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY TRAILS
