Oil for Z and also coolant additives???
I know it says to put 10w-40 in the Z but I'm just wondering if I could use anything out there that is 10w-40. I just use the non-synthetic Spectro right now but I was wondering if I could use say Castrol Syntecblend, a semi-synthetic in it? Any problems with going from a regular oil to a semi-synthetic? Should I just stick with Spectro? Also, has anyone tried any coolant addtivies like Water Wetter? Says on the bottle for use with anything, including cars, atvs, etc. Any harm in putting some of this in it? Any real benefits?
Thanks

The Water Wetter make the surface tension on the water 'relax' so it will spread out more and transfer heat better to the metal surfaces in the motor and radiator. When you spill water, you notice the 'beads' are very round because the water molecules pull together so much. Add soap or other types of chemicals, and the water will 'let go' and flatten out. The Water Wetter will make your quad run about 30 degrees cooler, which will make a big difference. As far as oil, A top notch car oil is ok, just change it more often,it is not set up to handle the stress in a transmission like a 4 stroke motorcycle/quad oil, and watch out for "energy conserving" oils, they have additives to cut friction, and can make your clutch slip.
