2 Stroke vs. 4 stroke.... Pros cons... and why too strokes are better :)

ok, ok, there are differences, yes i know i have said that before. the two engines are "designed different" like i said before!!! you guys are not getting it. there is no large difference between the two engines. two stroke racing engines are old technology as compared to "NEW" technology. what else do i have to explain to you people, is it really that hard to understand?

Ok if to you the new two strokes engines are pretty much the same as their 70-80s counterparts even though they arent comparable in any way shape or form...Why dont you explain to us what you mean by "New" technology!!! The new four strokes engines??? They still use cams, valves, timing chains, rings, pistons etc...Nothing revolutionnary here...So how about you enlighten us with your wisdom or farts should I say since you talk out of your ***!!!!!!
Your "new" tech is nothing more than an old improved design, exactly like what todays dirtbikes 2 strokes engines are compared to what they were 25 years ago.
" is it really that hard to understand?" Think about it kiddo...

man, that almost convinced me. four stoke race bike engines are brand spankin new. they are a totally new design. where else have you ever seen a UNI CAM 4-sroke besides in chevys. the only thing comparble to them are street bike engines, which most have 2 cylinders. those engines are radically different than any other 4-stoke. and on top of that, its the first time they have been put in motocross bikes, so they must be new technology. this may sound confusing but i think a 250r engine and a modern day cr250 engine are more similar than a 88 trx 250x engine compared to a new crf 250. no 4-stoke dirtbike/4-wheeler engines were liquid cooled back then. so yeah id say the new 4-stokes are much, much newer technology, dont you?

Anyone that knows anything about 2 strokes engines (wich you seem to think you do) would understand that a more advanced port design is as new "tech" as a new different cam configuration...The new 4 strokes arent by any means more advanced than todays new 2 strokes engines. Now unless you have some new "tech" infos to provide us you should STFU stupid newb!!!!!!

I think what Hondaracer88 mean's to say is that the engine's today have been upgraded with better design's of various internal part's such as cam's,valve's etc.,etc.But the basic principle on how the engine's work are no different then past year engine's.The outside appearence look's to be modern tech.,but that's just a cosmetic upgrade.Heck maybe I'm wrong, the only modern tech that I can think of would be to put a fuel injected nuclear reactor with a super charged spark plug and a turbo catalatic converter in a quad LOL!!j/k
