87250r Hope you get your quad going again,I read the bad new's,Is your rod bearing worn out or what?To ware out the washer's on the side's of the wrist pin where the piston connect's,I would suspect the they went bad.

2-strokes can actually be very environmental friendly. I believe there are some snomo's out there that are even more emissions friendly then the 4-strokes. Just FYI.

Also, if you look inside a trx250r and a cr250 they are quiet different from the tranny and clutch to the crank and cylinder. Even more so with the PV assemblies

yeah, but beechman what does one have that the other doesnt? there is nothing more advanced in a cr250 engine than in a 250r. In 16 years since the 88 250r id consider the cr engines "old technology"

any things change, different intakes, different exhausts, the pv assembly, longer stroke motors, the porting on a cr motor is much more radical then a trx cylinder, cr's are built more for top end being that the bike weighs less. no counterbalancer in the cr motor, trx is a 6 speed. So theoretically there is many differences in the two
