Default How do I know if my oil seal is leaking.

I'm worried that my oil seal at the crankshaft is leaking into the cylinder. I'm getting oil leaking out of the motor. It's either coming from the exhaust flange or right underneath were the crankshaft is. It's not a lot of oil, so that alone wouldn't concern me much, but it is seems to have a thicker white exhaust then other 250 motors. My main question is how do I find out if the seal is leaking? What would I look for? It's a new seal, but its possible it didn't go in right. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Pressure test the motor. Go to Duncan Racing's web site for instructions on how to build and use your own pressure tester. It is simple and cheap to do if you have any mechanical ability at all (I made one to use on my 500). Also, you will be able to use the tester on many different engines in the future so it will be worth your time and effort.
