cool head for lt-250
#2
you will get alot of power from the coolhead becasue it increasis the compression if you run diff domes and also gives alot better cooling to give you longer preformace + theres no gastkets and more just O-Rings. The cool head has a closer squis band on the clyinder as well so it gives the bike overall much better preformance.

I actually just bought a cool head for my 88lt250r,i havent installed it yet,but the design alone looks much better than a stock head. On my dome the top uses oring but is looks the bottom uses a head gasket, because there is no indent for an oring.

I believe (not positive) that the coolhead uses a gasket stock and that the o-ring coolhead is optional.
I had the head milled .020" on my 86 for 26$ not including a new head gasket. It added more power than a pipe and I’ve been running on 89 octane pump gas for almost 6 months now with no problem. I'm thinking about having it shaved .010" more to see what happens. Could always go up to 93 octane if necessary.
