Belt cover from hell
#1
I went through some deep water on my Vinson (03, auto) so I wanted to make sure the belt was dry and put some belt dressing on while I was there. I know there must be an easier way, but it took forever to get the cover off. Some of the bolts are in very inaccessable places and it is hard to get the cover off due to it hitting the rear brake pedal and the footrest. I managed to wrestle it off and apply my belt dressing when the hard part really began. Getting it back on was even harder especially while trying to line up the gasket. I ended up removing the whole footwell (plastic) and the footwell support / foot peg. It still wasn't easy, but I finally got it back on and managed to line up the gasket and get everything put back together. Is there an easier way for next time or is it just a hard thing to do?
