I guess this is not one of your *usual* days then eh race? Ive been ridin quads since 87...and dirt bikes since i was a kid. I go local ridin almost every sunday...woods single track...and out to the desert at least once a month. My blaster went 16 yrs without breakin anything. I agree with the lottery theroy for the most part. If you did your homework race...you would see almost every Z rider has had problems with his frame! At least...the guys that ride em anyways. If your quads sit in the garage...my sure ya wont have any problems at all

Hey RaptorOwner....how do ya like the Z250 so far? Ive been thinkn bout gettin one for my wife.

Thanks!

That is correct on the frame issue, I am just glad my frame is not cracked. They should have a recall on them things cuz when mine breaks I will be one po'd atv'er!! Well I havent received the z250 yet, I will have it first thing in the morning, its being delivered from Fresno by the dealer I purchased it from. Dont get me wrong, we have dealers here in my hometown but to get them to give you a deal is like pulling teeth. Your not gonna get one here, at least thats what I have found out along with 6 of my buddies.

Hey river..your full of it. Not every Z has had problems with the frame. You hear a lot about them right now because the Z is the hottest new quad right now. Most of the Z's you hear about breaking are on the MX track, not trail riding as you have stated you do. There are some pretty crazy quader's out there, and they are the ones breaking their frames. They are doing things that would make your blaster cry. I agree that Zuk needs to step up and fix the issues with their frames , because we want to be able to use them for MX and ramps, but don't tell me the average trail/rec/sport rider is breaking frames...I don't buy it. If the Z wants to be the new force, all they have to do is a few simple fixes....maybe next year. All in all River I don't need you smart'n off to me about how long you have been riden quads. Why did you waste you money and buy the Z if it is such a piece!!! I know at least six guys that ride at a local track here and none of them have had any problems with there frames or Z's. Don't tell me all Z's have broken frames. If you don't agree about the aftermarket shocks, then why would anybody ever spend the extra money? Aftermarket parts and mods are for riders that push it.....I can guess how hard you have been riding you blater since 1987......LOL

Wait a minute...you bent a axle without jumping......How fat are you? Let me guess...260lbs!!! Please stop abusing your Z or I will have to call the proper authorities.

Just playing river...ride on...buy a Predator.....

There is a brace that can help support the part above the shock mounts for about $70 which will all but solve the problem unless you are jumping off buildings. I personally haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood)!
Where do you get this brace at? I would like to have one Bulldogz400!

I have only put 15 hours on my bike and i keep checking the welds around the shock mount and a-arms

I don't ride that hard anymore, so hopefully i don't have anything to worry about. Does anyone know of companys near ohio that gusset frames? I have been throwing around the idea of having it gussetted this winter.

As for other problems....well the rear brake rotor sucks...

Arens Brothers is suposta make a brake to reinforce the upper shock mount aera.

Lone Star Racing will gusset up your frame for ya if thats what ya want.

Click here for frame gusseting (did i spell that right??)

There is a good article in this months Dirt Wheels Magazine outlining the Z400 frame issues and the info i posted above.

I'm still tryin to decide what to do myself

the z400 is a great quad! as for the frame problems the guys who have broken thire frame where problably taking some really mean jumps in order to crack the frame. Beacuse if this where truly a problems suzuki would have alrady recived enouph complaints to recall the frame. but they have not beacue the problem is the the frame it's the was the bike is ridden.
if you for exampal jump off a building on any quad or mistreat it and ride it in a way that is was not ment to be ridden, then problems like that happen.
