loud idle

Default loud idle

my 250cc 5 speed fourwheeler is acting weird. I started it today and it idles so loud it is awful. I check the idle screw but its not working....any suggestions??

What do you mean by idling loud? Do you mean it is idling fast and make a lot of exhaust noise, or are there noises coming from inside the engine?

ya...like it really loud and fast, i cant seem to stop that

You may have an air leak between the carb and the cylinder/head

have u adjusted the idle screw? check ur choke. might be on or it could be stuck

hey why not do a whole engine check that'll do the trick

fixed the problem, the choke wouldnt shut off when i'd turn the choke off
