Default 2004 Suzuki Ozark 250 Backfire

i have 2004 suzuki ozark 250 and everytime i ride it randomly it backfires, and i was recently riding at my friends house and it was backfiring like crazyyy! and ideas on what the problem is?

two caps on top of the head (engine) expose the adjustment screws for the valve/spring. slip a feeler beneath the screw at tdc and see what the clearance is. not sure what actually causes the backfire, either valve opens too early, stays open too long or not open soon or long enough. maybe someone might know if its not the exhaust valve, but rather the intake which causes backfire. ill assume its the exhaust since the firing exits the exhaust. .008 clearance is what i remember recently using. but you'll want to double check that. i have the 2007 ozark

one end of the rocker arm rides on the cam, the other pushes the valve/spring down. the picture shows the suz head with piston at or very close to tdc.

Mine has the exact same problem but it only backfires when I let off the throttle after reaching top RPMs. Is this the same repair for it?

Turn your air/fuel screw out 1 turn and try it. If it's better but not perfect take it out 1.5 turns.
