Default submerged 450 ES won't shift???

I put my 2001 450 ES through the ice (yeah, I know!). Got it home (after a lot of work) and got it running again. It's running great. Problem is it won't shift. been in heated garage for a week, will shift manually and drive, put in new battery, took apart handle bar switch, handlebar/console assembly, battery box etc. and dried everything out, checked all fuses and connections...did all the obvious things. No code message??
My local dealer/shop are thieves and i refuse to bring it to them!!!
Any ideas?????????????

Does it make any noise, like its trying to shift, when you press the button?

go through all the connections and clean and dry them, then put dielectric grease in them to keep the water out.

No it doesn't make a sound, just the click of the button on the handlebar. It doesn't make that whirring noise like it wants to shift.
