Snowmobile use thin ( about 1/4") clamps for the airbox to the carbs. Only problem you would have is the extra length of the screw sticking out... If I had to use thouse.. I would probably but electrical tape over it so it wouldn't snag anything..

I personally went out and spent the $15 bucks on a tool that pulls the clamp tight - then simply used a hammer and punch to bend the ears down...

Yamaha factory clamps seem to be the best, they are leveraged so no tool is needed to pull the clamp tight. If and when I have to replace another boot - I am going to get OEM yamaha clamps.

I have seen those they are slick! If I were doing alot of CV boots that is what I'd use
