kawasaki prairie 650 help
#1
hi guys and gals, im new to the site and need some help.im looking to buy a bike from my friends daughter, here's the condition the bikes is -
the story - his grandson took it out riding and rolled it. it sucked water and died. he drained the fluids and filled with new ones. started running bad shortly after. the bike will start and run but one cylinder will "cut out" it'll run on both and then one goes out. so he changed the plugs and nothing changed.
im thinking its electrical, a guy i work with thinking the same, thinks it may be grounding out somewhere.

I ride with a friend who has a 650 prarie and we are frequently in the water. Your electical should be pretty much water proof. I,d check your air filter and maybe drain yor fuel tank and carb.Wate in a fuel system tends to take a while to get cleaned ot. We havealso ran some sea foam cleaner through the fuel system. It helped my friend out . Good Luck on getting it resolved.

well i told him today im goin to buy it. i figure for 2000 ill look over it, clean all the electrical contacts and grease them with an insulating electrical grease we use at work for military vehicles, clean the carbs real good, replace the plugs, drain the tank and all other fluids, etc. do a real good maintenance on it and cross my fingers and hope she fires when i push the button.
