Atv Pulling to the Left
#1
I just bought a 2005 Yamaha Kodiak 450 and it is pulling to the left a little. I am not sure how this happened. Does anyone know what could be causing this or what I can look into?
Thanks

make sure your handlebars are straight and measure the distance of each tire to the center of the frame. In other wordes measure from center of tire to center of frame on each side. Do this to both the front and back of the front tires. You should notice that the tires are towed in about 1/4 inch on both sides. If they aren't then you will have to do an alignment. If they are ok then check your ball joints and a-arm buchings. It could be a sign of them wearing out. Lastly I would check to see if each wheel (when lifted) spinns freely. this could be a sign of wheel bearings going bad or a brake sticking. Good Luck!

Jumbofrank, your new avatar is scaring me!!!!
To stick to the topic, the 36 psi you saw is maximum to seat the bead,an ATV tire should never be above 10 psi, most of the manuals show anywhere from 2.9 to 5 psi, depending on the model and tire type.

I see you got a new av too. I get bored easily and when I came across a superhero I never saw called Doctor Polaris I thought hey, I'll give him a try.
As for tire pressure everything I've seen is around 3-5 psi according to the ATV manufacturer and usually 7 to maybe 10 max according to the tire manufacturer. I don't think I've seen one as high as 36 to seat the bead but I have seen about 28-32 on some. I can't imagine riding it that way.

Got my new one off MSN news, there was an article about a Saudi Sheik who has declared that Mickey Mouse is a "soldier of Satan",standing for all that is wrong with the "decadent American lifestyle". Funny, we even mention the name "Mohammed" and they are ready to go to war, but they see nothing wrong with trashing an American Icon like good ol' Mickey !!!!
